Daniel found his passion for music at a very young age. Some of his early influences included The Beatles, Elton John, and The Doors. His shift in taste occurred in the teen years, when he began listening to grunge and alternative rock bands. He began singing in his late teens, and from there he never stopped. His powerhouse vocals prove his worthiness to be on stage time and time again. He is looking forward to the future of Toxic, and the friendships that are being created along the way.
Rick is new to the NC Metal scene, but he isn't new to music or metal. He started playing guitar when he was eight and got into metal a few years later in the sixth grade. Hailing originally from the Baltimore, MD area, he has played guitar in various bands since he was in high school. In 2005, he joined southern MD based progressive metal band, Odin's Court. During his time with the band he recorded six studio CDs, various EPs, a live DVD, and played shows all up and down the east coast (including one in Wilmington, NC) and even one at a festival in San Francisco. That ended in 2018. A software engineer by day and a metal guitarist by night, Rick has a wife, three grown sons, and two dogs. Pit Bulls are the best (and so misunderstood)! He really enjoys riding his bicycle, hiking, kayaking, and just being outdoors -- especially at the beach and in the mountains. Rick is really looking forward to getting back on stage and rocking out in NC!
Scott has been playing guitar for 14 years in the rock/metal genre and has stepped up to take a guitarist position in Toxic. His influences are Metallica, Iron Maiden, As I Lay Dying, BFMV, and All That Remains. He loves playing guitar and the camaraderie that comes with playing in a band. He is a great fit and we are excited for what's to come!
Anthony is a Southeast NC native. Growing up he always had a love for all music, especially Hard Rock and metal. Bands like Incubus, Deftones, Tool and Seether really inspired him to start playing. He got his first bass at age 14 and never slowed down. Playing for local bands and churches as a Worship musician. But hard rock just kept calling. "After moving to the Raleigh area, I felt like it would take a miracle to get back into the music scene, and that's when I found these guys. From the moment I met the others, I knew this is where I'm supposed to be. I'm definitely getting settled as the bass player, because I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. I see big things for us, and I know we'll get there."
Dan started playing drums at a very young age but never really played with a band. After spending some time on tour with rock bands as a drum tech he decided when he moved to Raleigh it was time to get back to playing. Dan has been a member of Nightsongs, a local Cinderella tribute band, and Running with Scissors an original metal band. He has also filled in for bands like Mostley Crue and Hayvyn. Dan has opened for national acts like Danger Danger and Kix, and many local favorites as well.
